Students at Lakes Grammar are encouraged to refine their artistic skills, explore creativity, and stretch their imaginations.
Lakes Grammar students Years K-12, present a collection of works that explore their vision of the world. This exhibition coincides with reconciliation week providing a perfect opportunity to celebrate the creative talents of the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Our students recently collaborated with Central Coast artist, Grant Molony to design an inspiring mural, featured in a time lapse video in the exhibition.
The detail of the turtle in the Grant Molony design is a perfect link with the delightful marine themes of the Lakes Grammar musical, The Little Mermaid Junior Production, being performed at The Art House while our annual art exhibition is underway.
This exhibition features drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and photography, influenced by the student’s engagement with culture here on the Central Coast. The show offers an insight into how young people view themselves and society today.
Students at Lakes Grammar are encouraged to refine their artistic skills, explore creativity and stretch their imaginations. They investigate the artistic practice of professional Australian and international artists, drawing inspiration from experts in the field of fine arts. Lakes Grammar students invite you to take some time to enjoy and appreciate the work of emerging young artists who are expressing themselves in unique ways.
